Christ Nagar Residential School · 🗓 November 2025 · 150+ Students (Std 5–12) · Pad Dispenser Installed
Most schools make menstrual health talks optional. Christ Nagar Residential School made it mandatory - for every student from Grade 5 to Grade 12.
That one decision is what institutional courage looks like.
Why Grade 5?
Most girls in India get their first period between 11 and 13. Starting the conversation at Grade 5 means they hear the truth before the shame gets a chance to arrive. That's the whole point.
What We Covered
Std 5–7 — What periods are, why they happen, and why none of it is something to hide.
Std 8–10 — What's actually in a conventional pad. The bleach, the plastic, the chemicals. What LOUD does differently.
Std 11–12 — The full picture. Period poverty, the 1:15 solidarity model, and how they can carry this forward in college.
What We Left Behind
A permanent LOUD pad dispenser - now installed on campus. The first in our network. Any girl at Christ Nagar can access an organic, chemical-free pad whenever she needs one. No asking. No hiding. Just access.
The moment that stayed with us:
"We asked the room if anyone had ever read the label on their pad. Not one hand went up."
